1) Elizabeth Williams, Lic.ac, Msom

Elizabeth has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2010. A supervisor and teacher at Northwestern Health Sciences University and Courage Kenney Transitional Rehabilitation Program, Elizabeth treats a wide range of disorders. She has developed her expertise in treating stress and emotional disorders, including depression, anxiety, migraines, insomnia and digestive complaints. Elizabeth believes that a collaborative approach and empowerment through education are essential foundations of any healing process.

2) Angie Clifford, Lic.ac, Msom

Growing up a dancer, Angie keenly understands the importance of a body in balance. After securing her Yoga and Pilates instructor certification, Angie went on to earn her post rehab spine training certification in Pilates. Following her evolving passion for integrative health care, Angie earned her Master of Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University and secured an advanced study internship at The First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Tianjin, China in 2012. Angie also applied her command of integrative therapies at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in the post surgical and Cancer units. Angie has been a core member of the Ascent team evolving as a leader in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries.

3) Kaitlen Brennan, Lic.ac, Msom

Kaitlen is an experienced holistic practitioner in Women’s Health since 2005, with an emphasis in pre and post-partum care. She holds her Master’s in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, with extensive clinical rotations in postoperative and antepartum/post-partum care at Fairview Riverside Hospital. In addition, Kaitlen holds certifications in essential oil Raindrop therapy and advanced bodywork techniques and often pairs these practices to enhance her acupuncture treatments.

4) Carrie Boe, Chc & Hhp

After 20 years experience in corporate training, incentives and performance improvement, Carrie became a health counselor to fulfill her true passion: helping others discover their own strength in mind, body and spirit. Carrie received her Certified Health Coach (CHC) training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition® in New York City and earned her Board Certification as a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) from the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Carrie utilizes a unique approach to making significant lifestyle changes by incorporating individualized concepts into her patient work. These ensure a more successful shift in behaviors beyond strictly focusing on the mechanics of diet and exercise. Each patient’s plan is personalized and designed based on their individual challenges, needs and goals. Expertise includes one-on-one and group coaching, nutrition education, weight management and life balance.

5) Melissa Shelton-davies, Qigong Master Energy Therapist

Melissa began teaching in the intuitive arts in the early 1990’s, practicing with licensed acupuncturists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists and chiropractors in clinical and hospital settings. She has studied indigenous spiritual traditions and healing practices, and assimilates her knowledge of chakras and hands-on healing into her work. Her work illuminates the layers of physical as well as genetic, emotional and psychological history, allowing the body “to tell its own story.” Melissa incorporates her unique approach to energy healing by “rooting” traditional QiGong (the origins and foundation of Chinese medicine) with the earth-based systems to which she is deeply connected. She utilizes her intuitive ability to read a body and move energy blockages, while explaining to the client the meaning behind the blockages and what is needed to move through them toward healing.
