Drive along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy the beautiful views & overlooks, recreation areas and historic attractions all near Linville Falls.

There is so much to see & do in the area...like take in a scenic hike, follow the passageway along an underground river in the Linville Caverns. In fact, as part of the PISGAH NATIONAL FOREST, Linville Gorge Wilderness Area boasts 10,000 acres of natural environment for Hiking and fly fishing.The breathtaking Linville Falls are just a short drive away. You can take one of two main hiking trails that lead to beautiful views of the Linville Falls.

Both begin at the Linville Falls Visitor Center and pass through remnants of a virgin hemlock forest mixed with other familiar trees such as white pine, oaks, hickory, and birch.

A colorful and varied display of wildflowers decorates the trails in spring. Red and golden leaves in Fall beautifully contrast with the soothing green of hemlocks.

This place is just dreamy. If you are wanting a small, local, cozy spot in the mountains than this is your place! The owners are so kind and very helpful. Beautiful, heated pool during the summer months. Make sure to check out their hotel office with a great selection of beer and wine and many handmade crafts to buy. Can't wait to go back!

This is our first time staying here. I will say that we will be staying here each year we visit NC going forward. We had planned on just staying one night but loved it so much we booked for the week. The owners are sweet and very accommodating. We spent a day driving around in circles. We stopped in the office for a refreshment. David and Cindy saw the frustration on our face. They took the time to map everything out for us. They also said that if we get lost to call the office and they will get us where we need to go. We are now acclimated to the area thanks to them. We can enjoy our vacation without the frustration. I can't say enough good about Davis and Cindy. When you stay here you're not just someone renting a room. They make you feel like you are at home. 5 stars isn't enough in my book.. They truly have a wonderful place here.

I have been coming to Parkview Lodge since 1995. I missed only five years but that means I've been here sixteen times over the past 21 vacations. Why do I return? Is it the proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway? Is it the proximity to Wiseman's View to hunt for the Brown Mountain Lights? Well, in part, yes. But I could still stay anywhere nearby. Yet, I continue to return to the Parkview. Dave and Cindy Peters have a nice place to stay and they are two of the most welcoming people you'll ever meet.
