Kent Riewerts. Kent has lived most of his life on this 70 acre farm. Today, many unique species of plants and trees gather around the house Kent built, showing off his talent for landscaping. With 250 trees and shrubs labeled with their name and species, the area has been developed into a mini-arboretum ready for guests and potential clients to visit. Kent welcomes all to stroll around and see the fruits of his labor.'Surrounding his home and nursery are over 100 acres of natural prairie grasses, wildflowers and a wildlife refuge which Kent has established for over 20 years. Each spring, sunflowers and sorghum grow and in the fall they are knocked down for winter food for the inhabitants of the refuge. Many varieties of berry bearing shrubs and trees attract different flocks of migrating birds during each spring and fall, and offer an unlimited supply of nesting areas. Several tree lines offer bedding areas and cover for other animals.
