Business Description

If you are in the process of looking for a therapist to go to on a regular basis, I encourage you to try a therapist 3 or 4 times before you decide if you like them or not. I can have a bad day or an off day, just like you. I am not meant to be everyone's therapist. So, there may be a chance you don't like me. That is okay. Speaking for all massage therapists, I think they would all agree with this statement, that I am only looking for the ones that like me, that have a fit with me. Every therapist is different, I have different modalities, and there are so many different preferences with people which is why I am only looking for those clients that will like me for what I do.

1) Tuning Fork Sound Therapy

Like adjusting a piano, your body can be tuned to achieve optimal physical balance. Tapping two tuning forks will instantaneously alter your body’s biochemistry and bring your nervous system, muscle tone and organs into harmonic balance. In seconds ... your body enters a deep state of relaxation. Feeling centered, your mind will be at peace...

Why are so many people using our Tuning Forks?

•Provides instantaneous, deep state of relaxation

•Improves mental clarity and brain functioning

•Increases your level of physical energy and mental concentration

•Relieves stress by drawing your body into a centered space

•Develops and refines your sonic abilities

•Enhances massage, acupressure, dreamwork and meditation

•Brings your nervous system into balance

•Integrates left and right brain thought patterns

I have found that the tuning forks will relieve numbness and tingling. The vibration of the forks will go through bone which my hands can not do, and reduce inflammation, promoting healing in the muscles and in the nerves.

2) Swedish Massage

Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. It is the best known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

3) Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage, first of all, is NOT about pressure! There are therapists running around telling people that deep tissue massage is going in as far as y ou can as hard as you can. That is incorrect. Deep tissue massage is about getting the tissue to change and sinking into the tissue. I call it melting butter as that is what the tissue feels like in my hands as the tissue changes. Often, I will stop moving or be barely moving, sometimes I lighten my pressure so I can stay on the area that needs to change. Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles).

4) Reflexology

Reflexology is an alternative medicin involving application of pressure to the hands, feet, and the ears. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the hands, feet, and ears, with the effects of a physical change to the body. Most clients get some reflexology treatment during the session if time allows as I can work the entire body more deeply through the feet than if I massage the entire body.

5) Crainiosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, noninvasive form of bodywork that addresses the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum. The goal is to release compression in those areas which alleviates stress and pain.

Cranial sacral therapy seeks to restore the natural position of the bones and can decrease stress from chronic injuries as well as provide relief from migraine headaches, neck and back pain, temporomandibular joint disorder (the inflammation of the joint that connects the lower jaw to the skull) and more.

I learned this modality because I have a nephew that is autistic. Craniosacral work has been known to help those that have autisism relax and to feel as though they are no longer trapped in their body. It is a way of putting your body through a healing process.
