The question has been asked many times, who are you why Cameron and what do you know about the car business. As a youngster David Boyles spent a great deal of time in Clinton County. His Mother, Mary Ann (Alcox) Boyles attended school in Turney and graduated from Lathrop, Missouri. Her parents also natives of Clinton County, Dwight Alcox managed the Lathrop Telephone Company for many years, just as his father had done. David would tag along with his grandfather and learned not only about the telephone business, but how to treat people. Dwight taught him to treat everyone with respect and above all be honest. David’s 89 year old Grandmother who is still living is Martha (Holt) Alcox. Her family was among the original founders of Holt Missouri. Martha becomes very proud when speaking of her father, who was the area blacksmith. Martha and Dwight began their married lives in the Red Brush area.
After spending 33 years in the new car business David decided it was time for a change. He sold his interest in the General Motors dealership in Maryville, Missouri and returned to a location in his life with very pleasant memories. David is currently a resident Clinton County in Cameron, Missouri, and is excited to return to where his roots began. In March of 2015 he purchased a piece of real estate at the south end of Cameron, on US 69 Highway and proceeded to remodel the building currently housing Boyles Motors of Cameron. The business specializes in late model off-lease vehicles and also high quality used vehicles. Off lease vehicles offer a great value, the 1st owner has taken the major depreciation that occurs in the first 3 years, these vehicles are inspected and some of these pre-owned vehicle may have as little as 5,000 miles.
