The Fine Arts Academy, under the direction of Suzanne Bellore, was developed in 1993. The school is in Whitmore Lake, alongside US-23, just South of Barker Road, in a beautifully renovated antique barn overlooking the scenic Wildwood Lake.

The Fine Arts Academy's curriculum consists of Dance, Martial Arts, Music, Tumbling making it a unique Triple Threat program. The Academy is dedicated to producing professionally run classes with the finest quality, technique, skill and professionalism. Our School stresses the importance of respect and tradition introduced in a fun welcoming manner.

I am happy to have had Mrs. Suzanne mentor my daughter in the dance program since she was 5 yrs old. My daughter has grown a lot and I’m proud of the young woman she has become. Both my daughter and I worked for Suzanne in the child care program. We all worked very hard caring for the children. I was very happy working at FAA as a teacher for the babies. I am happy to have worked with those who truly care for the children.

1) Ballet

The style of ballet taught at The Academy is Cecchetti based. This ballet is highly disciplined training in which a standard progression of exercises builds the strength and flexibility required for classical positions, steps, and combinations.

2) Ballroom Dance

These classes teach the basic step patterns of ballroom dance, that can be incorporated into different styles such as the waltz, foxtrot, or tango. Group lessons and semi-private lessons are available, as well as lessons for wedding parties or other special events. Schedule: Tuesday: 6:46 pm - 7:30 pm

3) Tap

Tap dance is an important component of dance that is often incorporated into musical theatre and other genres of dance. Students will learn rhythmic variations and performance skills through a series of tap combinations.

4) Hip-hop

This high-energy class is for dancers who want to learn upbeat and unique styles of the newest and latest trends. This class covers various styles of hip-hop within different combinations and freestyle opportunities.

5) Jazz

Jazz is an exciting and ever-evolving dance form that encourages individual expression and the development of personal style. This class includes jazz technique, terminology, and quality, with an emphasis on execution.
