Douglass Picture Frames has been a successful custom picture frame gallery located in Uptown Dallas since 1939, offering fine hand finished frames. The founder, and artist, John Douglass developed the original line of frames identified by the unique finishes that compliment the American Regional art movement of the Post Depression 1930s era. These frames are made from raw wood milled to exacting standards, hand gilded, toned and finished with a rich wax patina. Custom Douglass frames can be found in many fine private collections, as well as the Dallas Museum of Art, The Kimball Art Museum, and the Meadows Art Museum.
