BUSINESS HISTORY
T.L.C. was organized in 1989 and has enjoyed a moderate annual increase in growth since its inception. T.L.C. is recommended by Doctors, Hospital Social Workers, Visiting Nurses Association, Elder Watch, Home Hospice, and other agencies that deal with the care of the elderly.
BOND INFORMATION
T.L.C. is bonded and has maintained an excellent work record, each caregiver is covered by a 10,000.00 bond.
PERSONNEL
All T.L.C. personnel must successfully complete a criminal history screening. The administration also carefully checks personal and work references to insure the most highly qualified workforce possible.
QUALIFICATIONS
All personnel have been personally in-serviced to meet the specific needs of each individual client.
SERVICES
T.L.C. will normally respond to same-day requests for caregivers. In case of emergencies, T.L.C. will send fill-in personnel.
PAYMENT
The Client, Family or Financial Power of Attorney will be billed for services every two to three weeks. All billing will include invoice with daily timesheets showing the work schedule and number of hours worked. Each caregiver will have a seperate timesheet.
INSURANCE
TLC will accept Long Term Care Insurance. Insurance may cover all or part of total care expenses. TLC will arrange for payments to be mailed directly to TLC. Client can also request insurance payments to be sent directly to insured. In this case, Client will be responsible for the entire expense of caregiving to TLC.
NO CONTRACT
TLC does not require a contract. Client and/or Family member may visit office or call to set up services. Client and/or Family member will let TLC know of their need. TLC's Administrator will set up a time for an intial assessment. This visit normally takes 30 minutes. In most cases, Caregiver can be available within the hour.
DURATION OF WORK
LIVE-IN/AROUND THE CLOCK WORK
T.L.C. services “around-the-clock” needs, which means we schedule caregivers for consecutive 24-hour shifts. The caregiver remains in the home or facility (nursing home, retirement village or personal care home) for four to five days. Two caregivers are scheduled on rotating shifts for each client so that the caregivers will work four to five days and have four to five days off.
TLC will go in for a minimum of three days. If for any reason service is not satisfactory or no longer needed, call TLC stating date and time services will need to be discontinued. If client is not pleased with their caregiver, let us know and a replacement will be immediately sent in.
SHIFT WORK
T.L.C. will go in for an 8 - 12 hr. shift or 12 hr. shift where day & night shifts are required. Four caregivers will be assigned, 2 for days and 2 for nights, each working 4 days on/off.
PART TIME WORK
T.L.C. will go in from 1 - 7 hrs, day or night shift, up to 7 days per week.
