Mission Statement

Tenderheart I and II are 4 bed Adult Family Homes located in Princeton Wisconsin. they are staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. The types of individuals residing at our AFH are ambulatory and/or non ambulatory, advanced age, DD, dementia, and physically disabled. Those that can’t live in a private home safely, but enjoy being as independent as possible. Staff is there to provide assistance, supervision, and companionship, while promoting as much independence as possible. Princeton offers a public library, senior center, and parks.  Residents will be offered transportation and accompaniment to ensure community integration.  Services offered are, but not limited to: Instrumental Activities of Daily Livings (IADLs) & Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), transportation to and from community activities, church, and appointments, etc. Medication monitoring, personal cares (assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting), independent living skills, leisure activities (in home and in community), meal preparation and meal planning, laundry and housekeeping services, medical appointment tracking and scheduling, and providing a happy healthy home environment are all included for every resident. Our residents will experience, if desired, many community outings such as the senior center, public library, festivals, movies, and parks. Residents can plant flowers and assist with the facility vegetable garden, if desired. To ensure compatibility of residents; each resident has an individualized care plan, activities of choice and per request of residents. There are door alarms to provide safety, for those that may wander, while allowing all residents to enter and exit the home at will. Each resident is provided a wireless call light, to summons assistance as needed. New residents are assessed prior to admission and complete a “new resident questionnaire” for the administrator to review preferences and ensure compatibility with other residents of the household. Staff is trained to work with each target group; frail elder. DD, physically disabled, and Dementia. Tenderheart utilizes training videos that include training on diverse groups and specific training regarding each target group living in the home. It is our goal to give each resident a safe, stable, consistent, and comfortable family atmosphere to live in; as well as provide them with the best care. Tenderheart motto; Home Sweet Home.
