• Certified as a Registered Dual Disordered Practitioner in 2009,
• Achieved certification through the American Association of Christian Counselors as a Sexual
Addictions counselor in 2010.

In each of my professional positions during my 20+ years in the human service field I have worked with people who have mental health issues, substance abuse problems, or some combination of both. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families.

I believe that most people are able to change in positive ways when provided with a safe environment to disclose and discuss their concerns, to hear alternative opinions about their perceptions, and to receive appropriate encouragement and suggestions about possible change strategies.

As a therapist, I utilize insight-oriented, behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused interventions to help a person to achieve their goals. Although I never push my own beliefs on anyone, as a Christian I believe God is the ultimate source of true healing, and that Biblical concepts can be an tremendously valuable resource to use in helping a person to gain insight, and to become empowered to make positive change.
