Marriage and Family Therapists are specialists in relationships. In addition to being trained to diagnose and treat mental illnesses like psychologists, MFTs have additional training in treating systems of people together. That makes us economical too, because you get two or more individuals treated for the price of one.

Dr. Paula Bennett, Ph.D. consults with individuals, couples and families. In her general practice, problems are frequently related to relationships, divorce, children, anxiety, depression, grieving, and life direction. No topic is off limits! Nature Haven Counseling Center embraces diversity of every nature.

In addition to doctoral studies, Dr. Paula Bennett, Ph.D., LMFT, has put in more than 3,000 supervised hours of therapy to earn a clinical rating with the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy.

She has extensive advanced training in the United States and abroadâ€”including a certificate of hypnosis from the Milton Erickson Institute in Brussels, Belgium, and a certificate of advanced training in systematic family therapy from Boscolo and Cecchin of the Milano School in Italy.

Dr. Bennett consults with a physician when needed and upholds the highest standards of the ethics of her profession. Additionally, she is licensed as a MFT by the Board of Professional Regulation of the State of Wisconsin (#544) and certified by the AAMFT (#23735).
