Reviews
Nothing but frustration from this doctor. I use to go to a larger dental group with mulitple dentists, where you may never get the same dentist. I tried Dr. Sung Lee and from the beginning there were signs. Initially, I went in for a check-up and cleaning. Payment was requested prior to services rendered and before I sat in the dental chair. Additionally, I was drenched during my exam and cleaning. Water ran down my neck and back, wetting my blouse. I thougth this a fluke, but when I went in to have some old silver cavaties replaced with white ones, I got even more wet. This never happened before during any of my other dental office visits, so I chalked it up to a new practice. I was told that my front tooth could use a veneer. Again, payment was requested prior to services rendered. When Dr. Lee "prepped" my tooth, he stated that my tooth had an outward protrusion from the normal arch form of the rest of my teeth and that he shaved off as much as he could to try and get it in alignment with my other teeth. (This time, the front and back of my blouse was drenched.). After prepping he measured my tooth and put a temporary in place. Dr. Lee sent my "mold" to lab #1. NOT GOOD, when I went back to Dr. Lee's office, even he wasn't happy with it. So another measurement for a new lab was done. I was told this was supposed to be the one of the most renowned and highest quality dental labs in southern California. Allegedly, there were additonal lab fees that Dr. Lee was going to take care of. Allegedly the lab requested that I drive to their offices, located in Brea, to get a shade match. I took another day off work and drove roughly 20 miles to get the shade match. Throughout this ordeal, the temporary fell off twice. The first temporary fell off on a Friday and I had to go all weekend in pain. On Monday in Dr. Lee's office, he tried to fix it WITHOUT anesthesia until he saw how much pain he was causing. The second time half of the temporary fell off, I sucked it up and did not have him fix it, just to avoid the pain. After 5 weeks, Dr. Lee's office calls me to tell me that I need to go into the office AGAIN for another measurement. Frustrated, I asked for a refund. Dr. Lee stated the lab allegedly instructed him to reduce more of my tooth for it to be in alignment with the other teeth. He apologized for the frustration and agreed to give me a refund. I am going to take the refund and go back to the larger dental office. It is in my personal opinion that although Dr. Lee and his staff are nice, they lack the experience of an established dental office.
