But I also know from personal experience that there is hope. There is a solution.' 'We need to understand the source of addiction, as well as how to deal with it now that it is upon us. Both the person suffering from addiction, as well as family members, could benefit from learning about addiction. Everyone in the family is affected by the disease, only in different ways. Each family member, as well as the addicted person, has different roles they have played in the family dynamics, and each now must relearn how to live a healthier lifestyle.'Cook provides therapy to both the individual suffering from addiction, and to the people who provide support to the addicted individual. In addition to therapy, Cook is consulted to provide evaluations on individuals for DWI court, custody cases, OCS cases and other matters where an alcohol or drug evaluation is needed. Because he cannot ethically serve his counseling clients in a dual capacity, he does not provide any legal services to clients who seek his counseling services.
