Dr. Thomas is all about making the children learn that they have to do this on their own without the parent present. I think that's fine, but when they are getting a filling, I would prefer to be able to comfort my child. If you choose to be in the room, it is "hands off." He then proceeded to tell my child when she was fussing that it didn't hurt and she was overreacting. I found another dentist.
