It is hard to believe that the idea of creating A Family Pet Center has been ruminating in my head for over 40 years. Until I saw the sign declaring that Animal Crackers was going out of business, I thought that my dream of owning a pet store would forever be on my 'Bucket List'. Now some 12 weeks later, here we are growing and serving the community keeping the well being of the animals first above profit.' 'As a young boy I was always fascinated by the creatures around me and I've spent all of my adult life learning how to care and train animals of all types. Don't be fooled, however, that my road to today was not always perfect, but I learned from my mistakes and continue to learn more each day.' 'Simply put, I see a pet store as a place of exploration where a child or an adult can gain pleasure while learning all they can in caring and interacting with their new pet. In today's world of maximum profit, the big box stores are devoid of service and normally staffed by folks that are not well trained or as passionate as our staff is about the animals they care for. We will never sacrifice care or selection over profit. For us the animals all come first, period!'
