1) Shearmaster
Converts this tooth-jarring, leg-tearing, time-consuming, old-fashioned jump shear into a simple, foot-pedal controlled, pneumatic-powered, 16-gauge capacity, safe and sane machine.
Don't "Jump" on the treadle, Just push the pedal!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
• Level the shear, check and adjust blade gap if needed.
• There are 2 short, 5/8" Hex Head Table bolts on the upper left and right side of the shear.
• Only remove 1 at a time and immediately replace it with the new 5"bolt supplied and retighten with your current square nut.
• Remove and install the remaining 3 short bolts in the same manner 1 at a time.
• FAILURE TO IMMEDIATELY EXCHANGE ONE BOLT AT A TIME COULD CAUSE BLADE GAP CHANGES AND DAMAGE!
• Attach the left and right upper cylinder holding brackets to the new 5" bolts and screw on the lock nuts provided.
• Remove the treadle holding pins on the left and right side of the shear and the pipe stub shafts.
• Remove the pipe stub shafts and the entire treadle assembly.
• Now measure the diameter of the pipe holding stub shafts.
• If they measure 1 1/8 in. diameter — use the ‘2’ bushings provided to accommodate the new 1 1/4 in. I.D. pipe.
• Install the new tube assembly provided by reinstalling the stub shafts and the pins you removed.
• Connect the 2 air cylinders with the pins to: the new linkage arms, and the holding bracket.
• Connect air supply and press foot pedal to operate
