Carole France Janes, the director of the Salem Keizer FSOD, is a professionally trained dancer and instructor, trained in ballet, pointe, tap and jazz (Children a Specialty). Carole studied dance in Salem, Oregon and then moved to Los Angeles, California, during the 1950’s, to continue her dance training. Some of Carol's instructors were Eddie Gay, Willie Covan and Al Gilbert. Carole moved back to Keizer and opened her own dance studio in 1960.
