Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Thai Massage
$125 per 1 1/2 hours

Thai Massage is also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed during the session. A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home. It is both relaxing and energizing, so it is a good choice when you're on your way to an important meeting.

Thai massage is most effective in 1 1/2 to 2 hour sessions, but it can be sampled in a 1 hour session.

Mayan Abdominal Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.

CranioSacral

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Developed by physician William Sutherland, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience. I am currently in my third year of study of Biodynamic CranialSacral Therapy. This works with the nervous system and is deeply relaxing. It is excellent for headaches and stress.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are used to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.Nothing beats this in winter!

Myofascial Release
$85 per hour
Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. This allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain.

Feet First

Energy Work
$85 per 60 minutes

Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a "life force", and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. And once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow. I use a blend of Reiki, Altar of Creation and Biodynamic Cranial Sacral work.

Positional Release
$85 per hour
This is usually used as part of a session. The body is gently moved into positions that easily and painlessly release muscle tension.

Parafin dip for your hands
$10 per 2 hands
This is done in conjuction with a 1/2 hour or longer massage session.

Imagine the delightful feeling of your hands bathed in warm parafin. Not only does it leave your hands as soft as a baby's skin, it's also great for relieving achey joints.

Cupping
Chinese cupping is an effective way to loosen tight muscles and fascia and can be a part of many massage sessions.
