Welcome to Outdoor Architects, Inc. We are a full service custom landscape design and construction company. We have been providing excellent landscape services to clients in Howard County Maryland and surrounding areas for over 25 years. Our services include unique design / build solutions for all types of landscaping needs, including plantings, walkways, driveways, patios, ponds & water features, decks, pergolas, tree houses, dry streams, Outdoor kitchens, and retaining walls.

Mark Storch is an award winning licensed Maryland landscape architect (# 878) with over 25 years of experience in landscape design and construction. He received a BS degree in Landscape Architecture from Penn State University in 1985 Mark worked his way through school as a coop student gaining valuable field experience with landscape architecture and landscpae construction companies. After working several years as a landscape architect for some of areas top Landscape Architectural and Architectural firms, Mark founded Outdoor Architects, Inc. in 1989. Mark volunteers his time with the Neighborhood Design Center, Habitat for Humanity, Rebuild Baltimore, and has participated in many trips to help those in need in the Dominican Republic.

Outdoor Architects, Inc. creates unique landscape designs. Plants with foliage color are used to give year round seasonal interest. Our designers take into consideration the plant’s long-term growth patterns, so that the project is not overgrown within a few years. Plants are used to soften, frame, and enhance your home’s appearance.

Nothing beats the natural beauty of real stone. Outdoor Architects uses a variety of local and imported stone to create beautiful stone walkways, patios, walls, outdoor kitchens, and fireplaces. Our masons have over 50 years combined experience and use old world methods in their stone craftsmanship during construction.

Add life and tranquility to your garden with a pond and/or waterfall. Let Outdoor Architects create a water feature with waterfalls, water plants and even fish. We use natural materials to hide any liners required to create the water feature. Under-water lighting is used to enhance the waterfalls at night.
