Barbara Bartlik, M.D. is a psychiatrist in private practice in Manhattan and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Bartlik has studied integrative medicine for psychiatry and sexual health extensively. She incorporates micronutrient supplementation and improved lifestyle practices with conventional psychiatric treatments to bring about more effective treatments for sexual and psychiatric problems.
Dr. Bartlik graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1981, completed psychiatry residency at NYU Medical Center in 1985, and received in-depth training in sex therapy with noted authority Helen Singer Kaplan. Dr. Bartlik also is an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist at New York Presbyterian Hospital and a voluntary Attending Physician Courtesy Staff at Montefiore Medical Center. She is an advisor for Lifestyle Nutrition, Eve’s Garden and Bottom Line Publications and a former investigator of pharmaceuticals for female sexual dysfunction for Pfizer, Inc. and Boehringer Ingelheim Laboratories. She is the author of 40 peer reviewed publications and 9 book chapters and the Medical Advisor for the book “Extraordinary Togetherness: A Woman's Guide to Love, Sex and Intimacy”. Her current practice focuses on the integrative treatment of men, women and couples with sexual dysfunction, as well as problems of a more general psychiatric nature.
